What is an Allied Health Assistant? Bringing therapy goals to life

An Allied Health Assistant (AHA) works closely under the guidance of a registered occupational therapist to provide consistent, practical, and meaningful support across your therapy journey. At Farmer & Co., our AHA brings warmth, creativity, and a genuine commitment to helping you build capacity and confidence in everyday life.

Who can benefit? NDIS participants working toward everyday goals

AHA support is available to NDIS participants working toward goals related to:

  • Daily living and personal care
  • Home and community independence
  • Motor skills and physical capacity
  • Sensory regulation and nervous system support
  • Executive functioning and daily routines
  • Social participation and community access
How we practice at Farmer & Co Clinically guided, warmly delivered

Our AHA works directly from a plan developed by your occupational therapist, ensuring every session is clinically informed and aligned with your broader goals. Sessions might involve practising everyday skills, working on routines, engaging in creative and experiential activities, or building confidence in community settings. Your AHA stays in regular communication with your OT so that your progress is always tracked and your support continues to evolve with you.

Every session is clinically informed and aligned with your broader goals — never isolated from the bigger picture.
